Yeah I was thinking about this the other day. I'm sure I can remember a thread years ago (about techno) where folks were talking about it's whats left out of a track that often makes it what it is. Its the spaces between the beats that give some techno tracks their 'funk' for example. And what Giles says above is pretty true IMO - it seems to be how much (the clever tricks) you can cram into a track rather than rather playing with the space around the sounds. Maybe thats down to the ease nowadays with which kids can use and employ different plug-ins and muck around with them - previously it kind of depended on how many separate bits of kit an artist had. If I had a point, I've forgotten it. || [CiM] || cim_@flashmail.com || - ______________________________________________________ Get Your FREE FlashMail Address now at http://www.flashmail.com It's Free, Easy, & Fun !!! --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
